Office of Sustainability Homepage

Notre Dame Office of Sustainability

Summer 2008

Website for the Office charged with managing the University's green initatives. I also designed their logo, a stylized golden dome combined with the infinity symbol.

Family Psychology 1

Family Psychology of South Bend

Spring 2008

It's pretty easy to track down the names of prominent family counselors and psychologists in the South Bend Area. It's much harder to find one with a strong, professional web presence. This project was managed by Chas Grundy and coded by Bill Harle

ourmother.nd.edu

Spring 2008

This was a special site for the Office of Development at Notre Dame. The entire design is, effectively, a holder for the widescreen format, high definition video appeal from Fr. Hesburgh announcing the creation of new scholarship for undergraduate students.

Campus Ministry Homepage

Campus Ministry Homepage

Winter 2008

Campus Ministry is a department in the Office of Student Affairs. It caters to the religious needs of Notre Dame students. Even at a Catholic school, many faiths are served and this site had to be spiritual but at the same time non-denominational.

Winter 2008

I like things flashy and expansive. John is the digital equivalent of Henry Thoreau preaching the value of simplicity and minimalism. We were forced to compromise.

Biz Ops 2

Office of Business Operations Homepage

Summer 2008

"Biz Ops" makes the metaphorical trains run on time. (If ND had trains). Their website was intended to feature their most current initiatives.

Ordered List Business Cards

Ordered List Business Cards

Winter 2006

Steve at Ordered List aproached me to design a business card for him that was classy and memorable but very simple. The die cut of his mark is oriented so the the mark reads properly on the horizontal front and the vertical back of the card.

2007 Notre Dame Football Poster

Summer 2007

In this case, it's safe to the say that the poster turned out better then the season. This poster was 24 x 18 inches and is the only real bright spot that I remember.

Woody Guthrie

Woody Guthrie Tribute Concert Poster

Fall 2007

An 11" by 17" laser print poster for a Woody Guthrie tribute concert event. This was a pro-bono project with a lot of design lee-way. This is generally a good thing.

Center for Aqutic Conservation

Center for Aquatic Conservation

Fall 2007

This is a mark for a reseach center on campus. I'd like to think the subject matter is pretty clearly communicated by the mark, so I don't really know what else to put in this description.

Family Psychology of South Bend

Family Psychology of South Bend

Spring 2008

Dr. Petersen believes in treatment over medication. He wanted his identity (and site) to reflect this. This mark creates a sense of order with the group of shapes and suggests an outlier from the group, perhaps in need of help.

Ordered List

Ordered List

Fall 2006

A logo created (at the time) to reinforce the personal brand of web developer Steve Smith. It has since been expanded to represent Ordered List, Steve's Web Development firm.

Addicted to New

Addicted to New // John Nunemaker

Winter 2007

Fighting boredom at a lunch in late 2007, I started sketching automotive flames on a napkin. John Nunemaker, Ruby God and Motorcycle enthusiast asked if I could adapt the sketch for his personal brand logo. Eventually we incorporated his face in the mark.
